Cherish your art: care and framing guide
Congratulations on your new original masterpiece! To ensure your painting remains vibrant and beautiful for years to come, we've put together some essential care and framing tips. Discover how to protect your art and display it perfectly in your home.

Preserving your painting: do's and don'ts
To keep your painting looking its best, follow these guidelines:
Keep it out of direct sunlight: UV rays are the biggest cause of fading. Always hang your painting in a spot with indirect light. If it must be in a bright room, consider UV-protective glass if you choose to frame it.
Avoid humidity and temperature extremes: While acrylic is flexible, canvas can warp. Keep your painting away from bathrooms or kitchens (due to steam and moisture) and radiators or fireplaces (as heat can cause cracking over time). The ideal environment is a stable room temperature with low humidity.
Clean it gently: Dust your painting lightly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water, sprays, or cleaning chemicals, as they can dull or damage the finish.
Handle with care: Always hold your painting by the edges or frame, never by the painted surface. Acrylic pours can remain slightly soft or tacky, especially if the paint is thick.
Store properly (if not displayed): Store your painting upright, never stacked flat. Keep it in a cool, dry, dark place. Use acid-free paper or cloth between paintings to prevent damage.

Framing your acrylic pour
Choosing the right frame can significantly enhance your painting. Here are our top recommendations:
Floating (floater) frames: These are the most popular choice for stretched canvas. They create a gap between the canvas and the frame, giving the artwork the appearance of floating within the frame, which is perfect for showcasing the edges of your acrylic pour.
Tray (box) frames: Sometimes called "canvas tray frames," these are similar to floater frames but often have a slightly different profile, offering a sleek, contemporary look that protects the edges of the canvas.
Standard deep-set frames (canvas frames): These are like regular picture frames but are specifically designed to be deeper to accommodate stretched canvases. They offer a more traditional framing aesthetic.
No frame (gallery wrap): This is a very common and trendy option right now. Our paintings are created on stretched canvases with painted edges, making them suitable for hanging directly without a frame, providing a modern and minimalist look.

Gentle handling tips
While our paintings are robust, made with thick canvas material stretched over a sturdy wooden frame, gentle handling is always recommended.
The main thing to look out for is sharp objects that could stab, pierce, or cut the canvas. With a bit of care, your painting will remain a stunning focal point in your space.
